Summer 2013 @ LMS
Kim Sutton, Director of Community Development
Is summer a quiet time at LMS? Yes...and no. Quieter (and a little lonely without kids and teachers) but busy and noisy with the sounds of drills, hammers, saws and sometimes even a crane. This summer has been no different. All sorts of work was, and is, happening at LMS. A sneak preview of what you will see when you return to campus includes:
In Children's House - CH5 has a new big window to the sideyard; CH 4 has a new ceiling; the art room has better heating and cooling and a new exterior door; the "old" part of the building has a new roof.
In Elementary - monitors in the lobby showing weather station information and solar energy usage; most classrooms now have a dishwasher and new cabinets and sink; Upper Elementary improvements like a new boot/outdoor shoes area in the hall; renovated bathrooms for BASP and LE2; fresh paint on the exterior walls; new and efficient heating and cooling units on a new rubber roof.
Gardens are flourishing and our new trees are growing.
See you in a few weeks!
