Why Get Involved?
So many good reasons. Here are a few:
• It's a great way to let your child know that you value her school
• It's an easy way to meet and connect with other LMS parents
• It's gratifying to know that you have really helped
• It's fun
At LMS parents get involved in all kinds of ways: in the classroom, at events, on a committee, on the Board of Directors. Beginning this year, LMS parents are encouraged to give their time in service work to their child's classroom and to the whole school.
Most parents find that they can contribute their time in two or three classroom activities or events per year and in several all-school volunteer opportunities during the year. For example: help organize a classroom potluck, bring a hobby or your occupation to the classroom, participate in the Diversity Committee of the Board and bring soup to the parent Education event in February - that's great!
How will you get involved this year?
