The 2020 - 2021 Guiding Principles of the Community Building Committee are:Below are some of the volunteer opportunities that are typically available during the school year. The pandemic will create some changes with events throughout the school year--many will go virtual--so please check back at a later date for updates.

Community Building events and activities during the `21 school year at LMS are opportunities for families/parents to connect virtually socially, and at times, off-campus in person when state restrictions allow for social gatherings.
The Community Development Office works closely with the Room Parents and the community in general to run a myriad of events throughout the school year.
The Parent Engagement Committee, a sub-committe of the Board, is a great way to get involved in helping to grow community spirit. This group is comprised of a dozen parent volunteers and will meet virtually several times throughout the year.
Cultural Fest -- In September every other year (next one will be in the fall of 2021)
Community Day & UE Pancake Breakfast -- October
Childrens' House Snowball -- January or February
Public Skate at Ed Burns Arena -- February or March
Ice Cream Social/LGBTQ Brunch -- April
LMS 5K Run/Walk & Kids’ Fun Run -- May
Arts Show & Arts Show Reception -- The Art Show opens in early May with a reception in late May or early June
