Community Building
The 2022 - 2023 Guiding Principles of the Community Building Committee are:
*To generate good will
*To encourage virtual participation of all families
*To create a spectrum of virtual opportunities for involvement
*To offer virtual educational opportunities for parents
Community Building events and activities during the `23 school year at LMS are opportunities for families/parents to connect socially off or on campus.
The Community Development Office works closely with the Room Parents and the community in general to run a myriad of events throughout the school year.
The Parent Engagement Committee, a sub-committee of the Board, is a great way to get involved in helping to grow community spirit. This group is comprised of a dozen parent volunteers and will meet several times throughout the year.
Below are some of the volunteer opportunities that are typically available when restrictions are not in place. We hope to get back to all of them soon!
Cultural Fest -- In September every other year
Community Day & Pancake Breakfast -- October
Childrens' House Snowball -- January or February
Public Skate at Ed Burns Arena -- February or March
