Community Building

The 2020 - 2021 Guiding Principles of the Community Building Committee are:
*To generate good will
*To encourage virtual participation of all families
*To create a spectrum of virtual opportunities for involvement
*To offer virtual educational opportunities for parents

Community Building events and activities during the `21 school year at LMS are opportunities for families/parents to connect virtually socially, and at times, off-campus in person when state restrictions allow for social gatherings.

The Community Development Office works closely with the Room Parents and the community in general to run a myriad of events throughout the school year.

The Parent Engagement Committee, a sub-committe of the Board, is a great way to get involved in helping to grow community spirit. This group is comprised of a dozen parent volunteers and will meet virtually several times throughout the year.

To get involved, contact: Diane Decker, Director of Community Development (

Below are some of the volunteer opportunities that are typically available during the school year. The pandemic will create some changes with events throughout the school year--many will go virtual--so please check back at a later date for updates.
