LMS Giving

November 28, 2023

Dear LMS Alum Parents and Friends:

When I sit and reflect on my life’s journey here in the USA, I’m drawn to LMS and think to myself what has LMS not given me? I immigrated to America in 1997 and started working at LMS in 1998. It didn’t take long for the school to become my away family. Now 25 years into my employment here, I still feel the same way. Not only has LMS felt like family to me, but it was also where my kids spent their formative years with their ‘aunties and uncles’. I thank the LMS community for giving us a community we can call family.

As I reflect on my Lexington Montessori School milestone, an important marker in LMS’s history comes to mind – it was 60 years ago that this wonderful institution came into existence. Six decades of inviting students and their parents from near and far into the LMS fold, welcoming everyone with open arms. LMS values diversity, equity, and inclusion and walks the talk every day through its student-focused curriculum and efforts regarding parent engagement. Happy 60th birthday, LMS!

November 28th, is GivingTuesday. This annual expression of gratitude for the non-profits we hold dear to our hearts is an important global call to action. I’m asking you to donate to the LMS Projects Fund in honor of the 60 years this school has been making a difference in the lives of so many families. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request and thank you to those who have already given.

Sincerely,

Dilani Vytheswaran

Children’s House Teacher/Coordinator
