Long Range Plan (LRP)

The Board and other members of the community excitedly worked to create a Long Range Plan that would span five years--it took effect in the fall of 2017. While the pandemic certainly delayed the planning of the next Long Range Plan, work on a new five-year plan will commence in the not too distant future.

The LRP Committee started the planning process for the current Long Range Plan in the spring of 2016. Three subcommittees worked tirelessly to come up with the final five-year plan:

Montessori Outside: This committee worked on planning for how our children can appreciate and learn from the 19 acres -- nature, exploration, discovery -- while the world tempts them to stay indoors and on screens.

Montessori Applied: Members focused on advancing the ways that our Montessori curriculum intersects and utilizes innovation and entrepreneurship, through curiosity and creativity.

Montessori Amplified: This committee looked at ways to improve and promote understanding of Montessori philosophy within and outside of the LMS community.

Please click on the Long Range Plan cover image (below, left) to view the document in detail. We hope you will take the time to read the entire LRP as it contains informative and exciting information about what is in store for LMS in the coming years.
