Lower Elementary PE students have had a very busy start to 2026! We finished up our Obstacle Course/Gymnastics unit that was started back in December - just in time to participate in our very own Winter Olympics! Students are working on building strength, coordination, and teamwork through a variety of age-appropriate activities and games. As part of our lessons, students are learning about this year's Olympics by exploring different winter sports, discussing Olympic values such as perseverance and sportsmanship, and participating in our own version of activities inspired by Olympic events. They have tried ice skating, speed skating, luge, skeleton, bobsled, ice hockey, ski jumping, and curling! We will finish up our Olympic lessons next week and then get ready for Circus Smirkus!
